The US will provide $100M in aid for farmers and $169M for humanitarian assistance.

The United States, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), established the Agricultural Sustainability Initiative (AGRI-Ukraine) in Ukraine, with funding of $100M. According to a USAID press release, the main goal is to support Ukrainian agricultural exports. The initiative, among other things, aims to mitigate the global food crisis, which has worsened due to Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine. USAID will work with other donors and the private sector to raise an additional $150M for this program, with an overall target of $250M. In addition, USAID will provide another $169M in humanitarian aid to victims of the Russian war in Ukraine. These funds will be used for food, housing, water, hygiene products, medical care, etc., announced USAID.
