The new US package will include additional GMLRS missiles for the high-mobility artillery missile systems (HIMARS), ammunition for the advanced anti-aircraft missile system (NASAMS), TOW anti-tank missiles, AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, and 155 mm shells.

Stockpiles of 155-mm shells have recently been a concern, as both US allies Ukraine and Israel currently need them to wage their respective wars. Washington is convinced that they can provide for the military needs of both Tel Aviv and Kyiv.

In the meantime, the UK and other allies will transfer an additional $120M in air defense systems and demining equipment to Ukraine. Ukraine is now the most heavily mined country on earth, which has created the biggest obstacle to a Ukrainian counteroffensive this year. Demining capabilities is one of the most essential issues for advancing Ukrainian Armed Forces.
