The United States has announced its readiness to provide more than $1B in new funding for humanitarian assistance to those affected by Russia’s war in Ukraine, according to the White House.  The humanitarian aid will be provided to those affected by Russia’s war in Ukraine and its severe consequences worldwide, including a significant increase in food insecurity, in the coming months. This funding will provide food, shelter, clean water, medicine, and other forms of assistance. In addition, the White House also announced additional funding for the democracy and human rights sector of $320M for Ukraine and its neighbors.
