British Prime Minister Liz Truss will announce during the UN General Assembly this week that her country will continue financially supporting Ukraine next year. As The Guardian writes, the amount of assistance will not be less than in 2022. Thus, it will equal or exceed £2.3B ($2.63B). In 2022, the UK has spent £2.3B on military aid to Ukraine. This made it one of the leading funding sources for Ukraine’s fight against the invader. Liz Truss’s speech at the General Assembly is expected on September 21, but before that, Truss delivered a clear message for Ukraine: “The United Kingdom will continue to be behind you at every step. Your security is our security.”
