The Ukrainian Parliament supports the return of excise taxes on fuel.

The Committee of Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy has approved a revised draft law on the return of excise taxes on fuel. The draft law has a number of differences from the government’s proposals: the excise duty on gas is refunded at €52 per 1,000 liters (not €100 as was the case in the government’s version), though the excise taxes on gasoline and diesel is €100 per 1,000 liters, also as proposed by the government. In addition, the excise tax and VAT for alternative fuel types with bioethanol are equal to €100 per 1,000 liters (before the war, it was €162 per 1,000 liters).
