Ukraine’s gas transmission system is ready to compensate for decreased Nord Stream-1 gas transit, but Gazprom is not using the reserved capacity. As of June 15, the capacity of the Ukrainian OGTSU that was reserved and paid for by Gazprom at the Sudzha entry point is 77.2 million cubic meters of gas per day. The current amount of transit does not exceed 42 million cubic meters per day. This means that Russia can utilize 35 million cubic meters per day of booked capacity without any additional action or cost. The reserved capacity from the Sokhranivka connection point to the Sudzha connection point totals 32.4 million cubic meters per day. However, the Russian company ”has not used this option,” said the GTSU Operator.
