The Ukrainian energy system has once again come under a massive assault by the Russian Federation.

On the morning of November 28, Russia attacked energy facilities throughout Ukraine, leaving hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians without electricity, Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko said. As a result of the eleventh massive attack this year, facilities in several regions of the country were damaged – 12 hits were recorded on fuel and energy facilities.

The Russian Federation used 188 air attack vehicles against Ukraine – 97 drones and 91 missiles. Air defense forces destroyed 79 missiles and 35 strike drones, and another 62 drones were lost in the field.

According to President Zelenskyy, strikes on civilian infrastructure with Caliber missiles armed with cluster munitions were recorded in several regions. “These cluster munitions significantly complicate the elimination of the consequences of the strike for rescuers and energy workers, and this is a very vile escalation of Russian terrorist tactics,” he noted.

The Russians also attacked Naftogaz facilities during their attack yesterday. According to the Ukrainian Security Center, Russia has a sufficient supply of missiles for 2-3 more similar attacks.
