The direct losses of Ukraine’s economy due to the destruction and damage of civilian and military infrastructure, documented in public sources, increased by $12.2B. Total losses range from $564B to $600B, as shown by the study “Russia will pay” by the Kyiv School of Economics. According to the study, as of April 11, the total amount of direct documented infrastructure losses, based on public sources alone, reached $80.4B, or UAH 2.4 trillion. According to joint estimates of the Ministry of Economy and the KSE, the total losses of Ukraine’s economy due to the war, including both direct and indirect losses, including GDP decline, investment cessation, labor outflows, additional defense, and social support costs – range from $564B to $600B.
