The sowing campaign in Ukraine is 99% complete.

According to forecasts, Ukraine should fully ensure the domestic supply of all key crops with the expected harvest of 65 million tons of cereals, legumes, and oilseeds, including potential exports of about 30 million tons, said Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi. He also noted that this year, there have been some changes in terms of crop priority. This has been influenced by several factors: the cost per hectare, the domestic sale potential, the yield per hectare, and its cost per ton. This last point is important given the problematic export logistics: farmers preferred those crops that give more value per ton, especially oilseeds. The biggest changes in the structure of crops concerned wheat, corn, sunflower, and soybeans.
