The Russian offensive in the east has been stopped, and the CIA says that Ukraine will start its offensive at the end of 2024.

President Zelenskyy announced the stabilization of the front line in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Contrary to the claims of the occupiers advancing in the east of Ukraine, Zelenskyy believes that the enemy’s offensive has been halted. He also claims that the situation is now better than during the previous three months. However, this may change if Ukraine does not start receiving substantial military aid from Western countries.

At the same time, the US Central Intelligence Agency director, William Burns, said that Ukraine could regain the offensive initiative in late 2024 or early 2025 if the House of Representatives approves the continuation of military aid. He noted that the Defense Forces could continue to cause damage to Russia not only with strikes on temporarily occupied Crimea but also on the Black Sea Fleet.

The last months have shown that Ukrainian operations are more than capable of inflicting damage on Russia’s naval assets. During this time, Ukraine has managed to sink 15 Russian ships.
