The representative of the Ministry of Defense Intelligence, Andriy Yusov, stated that the escalation of hostilities should be expected in the east, namely in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Information about the probable activation of the enemy in other directions is misinformation and fakes to disperse Ukraine’s defense forces. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian Federation has already begun an offensive campaign in the Luhansk region along the Svatove-Kreminna line in the west of the Luhansk region. At the same time, the full involvement of the Russian forces may lead to a final climax without achieving the goals of seizing the entire Luhansk and Donetsk regions. This culmination will likely provide a window of opportunity for Ukrainian forces to launch their counteroffensive. But it will not be easy because the Russian troops have accumulated 1,800 tanks, 3,950 armored vehicles, 2,700 artillery systems, 810 self-propelled guns, 400 fighter jets, and 300 helicopters for their new offensive.
