According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine and the World Bank have agreed to activate joint thematic programs to reconstruct the country.
In particular, the program will contribute $500M in the energy field for the Re-Power project. Last week, the agreement was signed in Washington for the first $200M to restore energy and heat supply systems in Ukrainian cities.
Moreover, the RELINC project will obtain $585M of investment in transport infrastructure.
In the field of health care and hospital rehabilitation, the Heal Ukraine project will receive $368M.
Also, as the head of the government added, Ukraine has agreed with the Security Council group on the Special Program for responding to challenges and restoring Ukraine for up to $6B in additional financing from the IBRD. The program is expected to be approved and launched this year.
