On October 1, 2022, the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act came into effect, noted the chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk. According to Stefanchuk, Ukraine will receive additional high-tech weapons, including systems not previously supplied. It is predicted that the first Lend-Lease weapons will arrive in Ukraine in mid-October. The Lend-Lease Act expands the powers of the US President in agreements to supply military aid to Ukraine. It allows lending or leasing military equipment under simplified export control procedures. The White House will be able to provide weapons, equipment, ammunition, and dual-use products to Ukraine under an accelerated procedure without waiting for a special allocation of funds for this purpose by the US Congress.
