The largest Ukrainian mineral water producer has launched its first solar power plant. How much will it save?

IDS Ukraine Group has initiated its own solar power generation. A 1.4 MW solar power plant is now operational at the Myrhorod Mineral Water Plant, generating up to 600 kWh even in cloudy weather. This launch is part of IDS Ukraine’s long-term strategy to advance its electricity generation.

In 2024-2025, the company plans to invest €530,000 to build additional energy generation capacity. Previously, the group invested €460,000 in purchasing a diesel generator for the Myrhorod plant, achieving a total generation capacity of 1.6 MW. IDS Ukraine anticipates that its solar power plant at the Myrhorod facility will reduce electricity costs by €150,000-200,000 annually, with an expected payback period of about three years.

The total annual electricity needs of the entire IDS Ukraine group are 28 MW, of which 5 MW are designated for the Myrhorod plant and the remainder for the Morshyn Oscar mineral water plant. In Morshyn, another solar power plant with a capacity of 1.6 MW is set to be launched in 2026.
