Negotiations between Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP) management and representatives from the IFC regarding joint investment projects are ongoing, said Dmytro Moskalenko, UDP General Director.
“The IFC specializes in attracting investment to the economies of developing countries and is interested in joint projects with the UDP because river logistics is an important component of sustainable development and European integration of our country,” noted Moskalenko.
He added that one of the conditions for the implementation of the joint investment project is the unhindered work of the UDP with a guarantee of non-interference in the company’s activities by law enforcement agencies and the company’s transformation in the context of the course of denationalization of the economy declared by the Ukrainian government. Soon, consultations will continue with the relevant ministry.
