Artem Nekrasov, the head of the state-owned enterprise, Guaranteed Buyer, considers this direction to be promising as, mainly due to the difference in time zones, the Guaranteed Buyer can offer RES energy when European stations are not generating it.
“In addition, we have an auxiliary factor that allows us to successfully enter the European market: the introduction of the mechanism of guarantees of origin. The labeling of green energy, multiplied by the incentive mechanisms introduced by the EU in its markets, facilitates entering with our green electricity,” Nekrasov noted.
As a reminder, the Guaranteed Buyer is an intermediary between producers of electricity from renewable sources and buyers of such electricity, and the state enterprise also ensures the purchase of electricity for the needs of the Ukrainian population.
