Since July 2024, when the new marketing season began, Ukraine exported 4.96 million tons of grain, which is 58.9% more than in the same period last year (3.12 million tons). This includes 1.26 million tons of grain exported in August, 48.5% more than in August last year (848,000 tons).
In particular, 2.27 million tons of wheat were exported since the beginning of the season, which is 81.8% more than in the same period last year. Also, 739,000 tons of barley, 300 tons of rye, and 1.93 million tons of corn have already been exported. 5,700 tons of wheat flour and 600 tons of other flour types were delivered to other countries.
The increase in export indicators is related to the stable operation of the sea corridor. As a reminder, in July 2023, the Black Sea Grain Corridor stopped its operations, and in August Ukraine opened a new sea route that originates from Odesa. In September, the first ships used the corridor to enter Ukrainian ports.
