The German opposition demands that 200 Fuchs armored personnel carriers be sent to Ukraine.

The largest opposition bloc in the German Bundestag, the CDU/CSU, plans to initiate a resolution demanding the federal government hand over 200 Fuchs armored personnel carriers as soon as possible, reported Spiegel. The resolution notes that the war in Ukraine is in a critical phase, and the lack of advanced military equipment in Ukraine could lead to severe strategic consequences. “For the Ukrainian army, it is about the quick supply of reliable equipment that can be immediately used on the front lines. There are 825 Fuchs armored vehicles in the Bundeswehr’s stockpile and they should be removed from the Bundeswehr’s use,” the draft resolution says.
