The G7 leaders met virtually with President Zelenskyy and promised their full support for Ukraine.

The G7 leaders, including US president Joe Biden, had a video meeting and confirmed that they would continue to provide military and economic assistance to Ukraine, reported CNN. Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine aims to ensure the full withdrawal of Russia’s military forces and equipment from Ukraine and to secure its ability to protect itself in the future and thanked the G7 members for their support. The G7 also pledged to “step up” short-term financial aid to Ukraine in the weeks ahead and continue to develop options for the country’s long-term reconstruction.
