The G7 countries are discussing a nearly complete embargo on exports to the Russian Federation.

A relevant decision can be arrived at during the G7 leaders summit in May in Hiroshima, reported Kyodo. There, discussions will take place regarding measures to expand support for Ukraine and increase sanction pressure on the Russian Federation, which will be one of the key topics of the meeting.

The G7 countries have already stopped exporting a wide range of goods to the Russian Federation, including products that can be used for military purposes and luxury goods. Proposals for new restrictions are currently being prepared, which could extend the trade embargo to used cars, tires, cosmetics, and clothing.

The leaders of Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the US, and the EU will participate in the May 19-21 summit.
