At the EU summit in June, Ukraine should receive a clear signal regarding admittance to the EU and receive candidate status for EU membership, said Polish President Andrzej Duda during his visit to Kyiv. “Today, Ukraine needs our signal: the opening of European doors for Ukraine as a state, for Ukrainian society that wants to be part of the European community, not Russia’s sphere of influence,” Duda said. The Polish president stressed that this gesture is essential not only for Ukraine but also for the EU.
