The European Parliament urges support for Ukraine, ensuring its victory in the war.

The European Parliament adopted a resolution stating that the EU should support Ukraine with everything necessary so that Kyiv can win the war against Russia. It is emphasized that the war has fundamentally changed the geopolitical situation in Europe, and, in addition, Ukraine’s victory is identified as the primary objective.

According to the document, for Kyiv to win, there should be “no restrictions of its own on military aid to Ukraine.” MEPs state that there are still considerable differences in the military support provided to Ukraine by EU member states and call for the necessary investment in the European military industrial base. All EU and NATO allies must support Ukraine militarily by no less than 0.25% of their GDP annually.

The resolution also emphasizes the urgency of creating a reliable legal procedure that will allow Russian state assets frozen by the EU to be confiscated and used to rebuild Ukraine.
