The European Parliament has approved €1.2B in macro-financial assistance for Ukraine.

The EU Parliament voted in favor of the European Commission’s proposal to provide new macro-financial aid to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 1.2B. The first tranche of €600M is unconditional and will be provided immediately after the entry into force of the agreements. The provision of the second tranche in the same amount will be dependent on the progress demonstrated by Ukraine in implementing the short-term measures agreed on by the parties to implement structural reforms.
