The European Commission has prepared sanctions against Russia in case it invades Ukraine.

The President, Ursula von der Leyen said, “large-scale sanctions against the Russian Federation are already ready if it invades Ukraine. Any further aggression against Ukraine will be subject to sanctions with enormous consequences. They are already in place. European countries are united and act in concert with the US and NATO. We want good relations with Russia, but this depends on its actions. It must stop its provocations,” noted von der Leyen.
