The EU will cooperate with the US and NATO in any possible discussions with Russia on European security.

EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell called for Western dialogue and cooperation with Russia, calling a critical step the Alliance’s proposal to hold a Russia-NATO Council in response to draft European security treaties proposed by Moscow. “The EU seeks to work with its allies, as well as with its partners, to resolve the current security situation on our continent,” said a statement issued Wednesday night on Russia’s proposals for European security.
