Україна разом з партнерами відбудовує енергосистему: скільки грошей витратять?

The EU will continue to assist Ukraine's energy sector; the Energy Support Fund has already accumulated over €900M.

The EC will continue to provide all the necessary support to Ukraine’s energy sector – not only in the winter but also in the future, said Mechthild Wörsdörfer, deputy director general for the European Commission Directoral General for Energy.

“Ukraine is entering its third winter – probably the most difficult, given the recent attacks on energy infrastructure. Therefore, we would like to reiterate our full support to Ukraine and Moldova, now in the winter period and, of course, in the future – with all technical, financial and political support,” she said.

The EC representative noted that during the meeting, a list of projects of interest to the energy community was approved for the first time, which will contribute to regional integration.

“There are six projects in the electricity sector on the list: five to strengthen electricity networks and interconnection between countries, as well as one to create electricity storage capacities,” Wörsdörfer specified.

Artur Lorkovsky, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, reported that the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine has already collected over €900M in donor contributions.
