According to the Council of the EU, the EU has extended its sanctions until January 31, 2024. The restrictions consist of a wide range of sectoral measures, including limitations on trade, finance, technology and dual-use goods, industry, transport, and luxury goods. Measures are also in place to strengthen the EU’s ability to counter sanctions circumvention.
Australia has introduced new sanctions against 35 organizations in the Russian defense, technology, and energy sectors. Russian ministers, high-ranking officials, and senior Belarusian military personnel have also fallen under these restrictions. Also, measures have been taken to collect reparations for damages caused by Russia and sanctions have been imposed on more than 1,100 individuals and organizations supporting the Ukraine invasion.
The US Treasury has expanded its sanctions against Russia, adding 17 individuals and 95 legal entities.
On July 20, Canada expanded its sanctions lists of individuals and companies associated with the Russian military-industrial complex. The list includes MTS, Megafon, Tele2, Tinkoff Bank, Yandex Pay, Beeline, and Mir payment system.
