The EU reduced the supply of Russian oil by 90%.

Prices for Russian oil fall below the proposed price caps.

the supply of Russian oil

As a result of the reduction in oil imports the Russian Federation’s profits have decreased, said Matti Maasikas, the EU ambassador to Ukraine. He recalled that after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the European Union introduced nine sanction packages against Moscow, which helped the EU reduce its dependence on Russian energy resources. As a result, from now on, Russia can sell its oil to other countries and markets, but at a reduced price of about $30 below the world market’s average.
