According to a trade representative of Ukraine, Taras Kachka, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Ukraine is participating in global discussions not only to secure assistance in overcoming the war but is also discussing future economic partnerships. Representatives from the EU note that the industrial independence and climate neutrality of Europe will largely depend on important trade partners: the US and Ukraine. Discussions regarding partnership with Ukraine are taking place centered around three pillars – agriculture, the digital economy and Ukraine’s role in global food security. This is because many companies are interested in Ukraine’s exports and the development of Ukraine’s processing industry. The development of the digital economy is also a priority due to Ukraine’s proven success in this area, which many world leaders recognize.
