During the nighttime missile strike, Ukrainian air defenses destroyed 34 cruise missiles out of 48 missiles of this type that were launched by the invaders. Among these missiles were the X-101, X-555, and Kalibr, which Ukraine effectively shot down and also included four drones. As a result of the attack, the Zaporizhzhia NPP was completely de-energized but restarted later that day. Also, Russians targeted energy facilities in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Sumy, and Zhytomyr regions. The state company Ukrenergo noted that the enemy was not able to achieve its goals, as the power system continued to operate. The damage to thermal power plants and Ukrenergo substations caused limited energy supplies in some regions. At least 11 people have been killed by the wave of Russian missile strikes across Ukraine.
