The Government of Ukraine has allowed two Ukrainian banks to borrow up to €30M from the European Investment Bank to further support Ukrainian small and medium-sized businesses by improving preferential lending conditions. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal noted that the EU’s budget support since the beginning of this year has already amounted to $6.5B.
Meanwhile, the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine announced that the Czech Republic will help support and improve the Forest of Ukraine monitoring program to comply with EU standards. The Czech Republic plans to allocate €750,000 for the program and contribute to developing software to improve data collection quality using satellite capabilities.
Also, as part of the international project Improving Civil Protection in Municipal Partnerships with Ukraine 2024, the Chortkiv community in the Ternopil region will receive €120,000 to purchase equipment for education, medicine, and energy conservation.
