The Executive Board of the IMF will hold a meeting on the third review of the Extended Financing Program (EFF) and the allocation of the next tranche for Ukraine in the second half of this month, said the director of the IMF’s Communications Department, Julia Kozak.

The  board will consider the agreements on the third review of the EFF program that were reached at the staff level on 23 February. In this context, a decision will be made on allocating the next tranche of the $880M program to Kyiv.

At the same time, Kozak added that the IMF considers adopting the corporate governance law to be significant for Ukraine and expects its provisions to be implemented.

She emphasized that the law strengthens the role of supervisory boards and brings Ukrainian legislation closer to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development standards.
