Representatives from political parties in the Czech Republic, including opposition parties, together with the country’s Agrarian Chamber, have agreed on the possibility of introducing customs duties in the form of deposits, which will be distributed to agricultural products imported from Ukraine to the EU. Deposits will be returned to importers if grain is sent from the EU to third-country markets.

According to the experts of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic, this could solve the problem of importing agricultural products from Ukraine, which reduces the competitiveness of Czech farmers. The EU will negotiate a new agreement on exporting Ukrainian grain to the European market by the middle of this year.

As reported by the Czech Agrarian Chamber, it is necessary to solve the problem because Ukrainian grain enters the EU market, not other countries.
