Following the results of the fourth Summit of the Council of Europe in Reykjavík, 46 states adopted a declaration in which they: pledged support for the Ukrainian Peace Formula, welcome progress toward the creation of a special tribunal to hold the leadership of the Russian Federation accountable for its actions, and announce the creation of the Register of Damages from the Aggression of the Russian Federation, which will become the first component of the International Compensation Mechanism.
Also in the document, the countries declared their readiness to participate in further initiatives, such as creating the Compensation Commission and the Compensation Fund. The member states of the Council of Europe also called on the Russian Federation to release Ukrainian civilians, including deported Ukrainian children.
