In Beijing, Yakiv Smoliy, governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, and Yi Gang, governor of the People’s Bank of China, signed the yuan/hryvnia currency swap agreement. “China is the second largest trade partner of Ukraine in trade, and the role of the yuan in international trade is growing,” Smoliy said. “Access to the funds received under the contract will contribute to further economic cooperation between our countries.”
