The Biden-Zelensky summit has been postponed by a day to September 1st

due to the US president’s preoccupation with overseeing responses to the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan and Hurricane Ida which has just hit Louisiana. “This visit will affirm the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression,” a White House statement said.
