The Biden administration is convinced that Congress will approve additional aid for Ukraine.

US Presidential adviser Jake Sullivan

US Presidential adviser Jake Sullivan indicated that additional funding for Ukraine will be secured despite the refusal of some Republicans in the House of Representatives.

“Both in the House of Representatives and in the Senate, there are strong Republicans and Democrats in key leadership positions who favor continued financial support for Ukraine, so it has the tools it needs to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity. So we believe that assistance will continue, even if there are voices of dissent from the opposition. We are convinced that there is still strong bipartisan support for our policy to support and protect Ukraine,” Sullivan said.

The adviser continued by saying that the Biden administration has conveyed to Ukraine and international allies its confidence that the US will continue to provide support as needed, as promised.
