The 10th EU sanctions package will include banks, bitumen, and the construction sector.

The EU ambassadors plan to introduce new sanctions before February 24, the anniversary of the start of the war. According to Politico, the new financial sanctions will apply to four Russian banks, including the largest private bank in the Russian Federation, Alfa Bank. The EU also plans to ban Russian citizens from participating on the board of directors for critical infrastructure companies in Europe. The new package will include 130 individuals and organizations, including those in other countries, associated with the Russian Federation aggression. This will most likely impact Mali and Iran. The EU also plans to ban the import of Russian rubber, asphalt, and bitumen. And EU countries will be prohibited from supplying Moscow with cargo vehicles, construction machines, and other equipment used in the construction sector. The package also includes a ban on exporting electronic components that could be used to produce weapons.
