Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Gavryliuk said: “These missiles can hit otherwise inaccessible locations that contain enemy aircraft, missile complexes, and ammunition depots. It also has a longer range than other missiles we have already received, and it is resistant to the effects of radio-electronic warfare.”
A member of the Bundestag from the ruling Social Democratic Party, Johannes Arlt, stated the risks of providing missiles to Ukraine. He explained that Germany currently has no opportunity to increase Taurus production in order to replenish its army’s reserves.
At the same time, Taurus Systems GmbH denied the politician’s statement: “We can start new Taurus production, the integration of the platform, and the refinement of the existing missiles in the shortest possible time. The prerequisite for this is an order from the client.”
