Today through Sunday, Odesa Wine Week is to boost tourism during a lull in Ukraine’s coronavirus pandemic.

Designed to promote the brand ‘Ukrainian Wine,’ the event will draw vineyard directors, wine tasters and tourists to a mix of online and live events centered around the Premier Hotel Odesa. In January, Ukraine lowered taxes on wine imports from the EU. Ukrainian vineyards are fighting back with promotion and brand recognition.

Betting on the tax break and that on EU Covid curbs making for another summer of Ukrainian domestic tourism,

Windrose recently unveiled its summer schedule. Starting June 1, it will fly from its Kyiv Boryspil hub to 12 Ukrainian cities. On May 17, Windrose restores flights between Kyiv and Mykolaiv.
