Sufficient help from the West will allow Ukraine to improve the situation at the front by June.

Ukraine predicts a "critical phase" at the front in May-June, but the White House does not expect a Russian breakthrough.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, having received additional assistance, will probably be able to improve their operational situation by June, ISW analysts believe. It is noted that Ukrainian forces will most likely use the US assistance to deter Russian offensive operations in June 2024, which will disrupt the Russian command’s plans, which are largely based on their belief that Western aid to Ukraine may be significantly delayed or not provided at all.

It is also emphasized that the Kremlin, as before, retains the possibility of further mobilization of the economy and population, and that Ukraine faces constant problems in reinforcing and providing for its military.

“The US and its allies must provide regular and consistent assistance to Ukraine and deliver new critically important systems to the Ukrainian forces in a timely and efficient manner so that Western aid has an operationally significant effect,” the experts emphasize.

The resumption of US aid is a critical turning point in the war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that Western countries are “one step away from sending their troops to Ukraine.”
