Each NATO member state must independently decide whether to allow Ukraine to strike targets on the territory of the Russian Federation with its weapons, said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. He added that granting such permission has its own risks, but they may be justified.
“The biggest risk for us is Putin’s victory in Ukraine,” said the NATO Secretary General.
He also spoke favorably of the discussions between the US and Britain on this issue.
However, the US State Department once again emphasized that the US policy regarding strikes deep into Russia remains unchanged. At this point, Washington is ready to provide Ukraine with weapons, intelligence, and other support.
Simultaneously, The Times reported that Britain will not allow Ukraine to use its long-range missiles inside Russia without consent from the US.
