Stoltenberg believes the only way to force Putin to negotiate is to provide weapons to Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the only way to achieve negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine is to convince the Russian President that he will lose on the battlefield by providing more weapons to Ukraine. NATO’s position remains unchanged: Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance. Stoltenberg said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the main focus now is to support Ukraine and ensure that Ukraine wins the war. He emphasized that Putin mustn’t win this war. And to achieve peace negotiations, it is necessary to provide military support to Ukraine. This is the only way. Weapons are the only way to a peace, the NATO Secretary General emphasized.
