South Korea will consider providing weapons to Ukraine if North Korea does not withdraw its troops from Russia.

South Korea promised to take step-by-step measures against North Korea and Russia through deepening military cooperation and called on North Korea to immediately withdraw its forces from Russia.

In the event of continued military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, Seoul could send military and intelligence officers to Ukraine and review measures regarding the possible supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine, in addition to humanitarian aid.

For this reason, BILD states that drawing soldiers from North Korea into the war could be a huge mistake for Putin, as he would suddenly gain a new enemy in the form of South Korea, which plans to become the fourth largest arms exporter in the world by 2027. If South Korea decides to support Ukraine with weapons, it will affect the course of the war.

In turn, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu noted that discussions on one of the points of Zelenskyy’s Victory Plan regarding the deployment of non-nuclear deterrence forces in Ukraine should begin soon.
