In 2022, 98,000 foreign tourists visited Kyiv, which is one-tenth of the previous year’s figure, when more than one million foreign tourists visited the city.

Revenues from the tourist tax in Kyiv in 2022 amounted to UAH 38.8M compared to UAH 76M in January 2021, the capital’s authorities said.

Most tourists came to Kyiv last year from Israel, Turkey, Germany, the US, and the UK.

The number of domestic tourists in 2022 decreased in Kyiv to one-twelfth compared to the previous year: 172,000 against 2.1 million tourists in 2021.

It is noted that the indicator of the tourist tax for 2022 was obtained mainly because of visits by foreign delegations and mass media representatives, who come to Ukraine not to vacation, but to work.
