As of October 1, the total amount held in individual deposits (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks amounted to ₴1.3257T. Over the month, it increased by ₴24.7B ($625M), according to the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund. Since the beginning of the year, total growth in consumer deposits amounts to ₴90.9B, of which ₴54.1B is real growth, excluding the revaluation of the hryvnia equivalent of foreign currency deposits.
At the beginning of October, Ukrainians held ₴854B (+₴18.3B for September) in hryvnias and ₴471.7B (+₴6.2B) in foreign currency. Private enterprises (FOP) account for 11.1% of the deposit structure: these accounts hold ₴147.8B (+3.9B for September) in banks.
Notably, 56.85% of depositors keep between ₴10 and ₴200,000 in their bank accounts. Only 0.5% of citizens have deposits worth more than ₴600,000, but they account for 48.3% of all the funds held by Ukrainians in banks.
