Ryanair plans to invest $3B to restore the Ukrainian aviation industry.

The largest European low-cost airline, Ryanair.

A delegation from the largest European low-cost airline, Ryanair, led by CEO Michael O’Leary, arrived at Kyiv Boryspil International Airport. Representatives of the airport and the airline discussed their partnership as part of Ryanair’s strategic plan for the rapid recovery of air transport immediately after Ukraine’s victory and EASA’s confirmation of the safety of flights in Ukrainian skies.

Ryanair has announced that it will invest $3B in the recovery of the Ukrainian aviation industry. The investment plan includes basing up to 30 new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft at three main airports in Ukraine.

The low-cost airliner is also expected to return to Ukraine within eight weeks after the airspace is restored. This will make it possible to perform 600 flights every week from Ukraine’s main airports to more than 20 EU capitals. In addition, Ryanair plans to open daily domestic flights between Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa as soon as these airports can accomodate them.
