Russians will be prohibited from owning any property in Ukraine.

A draft law has been submitted to the Ukrainian Parliament, which prohibits Russia and its citizens from owning any property in Ukraine. In particular, this includes property such as land, land plots, forests, subsoil, and the use of bodies of water.

In the event of the law’s adoption, the designated individuals will have to relinquish their right of ownership and use of these objects within three months. All permits for special water use granted to citizens of the Russian Federation will be subject to cancelation within one month from the date of entry into force of law.

Furthermore, it is proposed to incorporate these elements regarding land ownership into the Land Code. They will also prohibit any activity of Russian Federation representatives in Ukraine’s maritime economic zone.
