Russia has greatly underestimated the situation in Ukraine.

Jeremy Fleming, head of the British Intelligence Service (GCHQ), says Russia has greatly underestimated the situation in Ukraine, reported Reuters. According to him, Putin’s advisers are not telling him the truth about the situation on the ground. Moreover, Putin’s advisers are afraid to tell him the truth. Earlier this week, US officials also suggested that Putin had been misled about Russia’s military and economic situation and that relations between the  Kremlin and the Russian Defense Ministry were strained. Bear in mind that when speaking about coordinated comments between the United States and Britain, it is noted that it has been shown so far that the intelligence services of these two countries are well aware of what is happening inside the Kremlin through their advance warning of a coming major Russian invasion and that Putin had underestimated what he might face.
