Russia has accused Ukraine of bombing the Crimean bridge.

Russia accused Ukraine of carrying out an attack that badly damaged the key bridge linking annexed Crimea to the Russian mainland. There are few theories on how this was achieved. The truck traveling from Russian territory full of explosives blew up on the bridge. However, video footage shows a fireball flying into the bridge at high speed. The ability to target a structure thought to have been heavily secured is another embarrassment for Putin’s military as his ground forces struggle in eastern and southern Ukraine. Ukraine hasn’t officially claimed responsibility for the blast on the multibillion-dollar bridge that Putin himself opened in 2018. The head of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council posted a video of the bridge on social media alongside a video of Marilyn Monroe singing “Happy birthday, Mr. President.”
